RHU is extremely proud of the courage and determination of special needs athlete, Mr. Yousef Al Mawla, for achieving the second place of the 11th edition of the ISF 21.1 km half-marathon. Committing to its role in serving the community and responding to the needs and concerns of stakeholders, RHU had announced its full support of Mr. El Mawla’s bravery and courage during a special event on June 20. In return, Mr. El Mawla pledged to dedicate all his future wins to Rafik Hariri University. This was his first while running under the name of RHU.
RHU had previously presented Mr. El Mawla an electric vehicle to be at his disposal while commuting to and from his home and hence assist him in realizing more and more successes.
The marathon’s official slogan was “Hand in hand, Security increases.” 1500 runners from 45 different nationalities and NGOs participated in this marathon and hit the streets of Beirut on the morning of Sunday, July 1, 2018.
