The RHU ASCE Student Chapter organized its first meeting on Monday, October 11, 2021. Dr. Renalda El Samra, Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, and Ms. May Mrad, RHU ASCE Student Chapter advisor, attended the assembly at 11:00 am in the RHU Theatre.
Dr. El Samra provided a brief about the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and invited the Chapter resident, Minhal Rizk, and vice president, Rawan Hijazi, to deliver their presentation. In their presentation, they introduced the ASCE to new civil engineering students. They also discussed the RHU ASCE Student Chapter's previous events to motivate students to join.
"RHU ASCE Chapter, let's have a year full of events," he said.
