RHU is a place for preparing first-rate students, demonstrated by the number of honors and awards our students continuously receive.
RHU Design Department in the College of Arts and Sciences is proud of the graphic design talent of the students Karen Khodur and Jihad Zaatar. Both students received a Certificate of Recognition from the World Packaging Organization, as part of the 2021 International Packaging Design Competition in which both students participated.
Karen gave a more fun and vibrant feel to the package of the Arabian cotton candy, Ghazel El Banat by Gandour, to encourage children to buy it. Jihad transformed the visually bland and unappealing packet of Café Najjar, Lebanon’s finest coffee brand, into a creative one that reflects the Lebanese culture and its people.
It is worth pointing out the grueling nature of this competition that attracts entries from around the world. The WorldStar Packaging Awards Competition is one of the main events of the World Packaging Organization. Quoted from their website, “WorldStar illustrates the continual advancement of the state of packaging design and technology and creates a living standard of international packaging excellence from which others may learn.”
