A career readiness workshop titled “You, on the Web” was coordinated by RHU Student Affairs Office. Mr. Jean Mezher presented about Aimee. Bio. This career readiness workshop highlighted to students why it is important to control their online identity in this stage of their life and guided them through the process of writing a short, attention-grabbing, introduction about the real “YOU”.
Mr. Jean started his presentation by explaining how our social lives are critical for our next work opportunity. Our interaction on social media reveals aspects of our personality that reflects a lot about us to the employer. On the other hand, Mr. Jean gave some remarks to the audience on how to enhance their CV to look special with some easy steps. He then asked a few attendees to join him on stage to introduce themselves using those tips.
Aimee is an online platform that helps users showcase their interests, hobbies, and achievements. Aimee believes that the small steps they take now will lead to their better future. The online biography or “bio” that each user creates on the platform will show who he or she really is to the world in a way that grades and standard resumes can never show.
The workshop ended by creating a page for RHU Lebanon on Aimee and making sure every club president creates one for his club so that the platform starts flowing through every university student.
