RHU is extremely proud of its alumni who continue to be at the forefront of new technology, harnessing their skills and giving their university ever more reason to be proud of their grand achievements.
RHU alumnus Mohamed Ahmad Hariri, has successfuly defended his PhD dissertation in electrical and communications engineering at Florida International University, USA on November 5, 2018.
Moreover, he obtained a patent, 9,894,080, 2018, a co-invention with the Dr. Tarek Youssef and Dr. Ossama Mohammed that was awarded by the US patent office. This invention is a light-weight security algorithm to authenticate IEC 61850 GOOSE messaging protocol used in electrical substation automation systems. All three inventors were recognized by the office of the provost at FIU in the annual FIU inventors recognition ceremony on October 27, 2018.
It is worth noting that Dr. Hariri has completed his BS and MS degrees in mechatronics engineering at RHU in 2012 and 2014 respectively. His accomplishment is a source of pride and joy to his college, faculty members, and staff of RHU.
