The RHU Admissions Office, in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences, hosted the workshop “AI in Education: Empowering Counselors and Educators for Student Success” on February 6, 2026, at the RHU Campus in Mechref. The workshop welcomed about 80 educators and school counselors from Hasbaya and the Orkoub region in South Lebanon and marked the first joint initiative between RHU and Tamadun Organization following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.




The opening ceremony included welcoming remarks from Dr. Mohamad Diab, Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department; Ms. Zeina Tannir, Director of Admissions; RHU President Dr. Said Ladki; and Dr. Ziad Daher, President of Tamadun Organization. The words emphasized RHU’s role as a platform for education and technology aligned with current needs, the university’s accredited academic programs, and its dedication to empowering educators through innovation and the ethical integration of AI.





Dr. Ziad Daher expressed confidence in RHU as an institution that values knowledge and educators, as it bears the name of the esteemed Martyr Rafik Hariri. He highlighted that the workshop marks the first successful step in implementing the RHU–Tamadun agreement, noting the strong turnout as clear evidence of the partnership’s success, and expressed his hope for future expanded collaboration.





In his address, RHU President Dr. Said Ladki welcomed the participants and expressed pride in the presence of educators and counselors who traveled from Hasbaya and the Orkoub region to invest in their professional development. He highlighted RHU’s commitment to integrating artificial intelligence and World Economic Forum future skills into its curricula, ensuring graduates are prepared for a rapidly evolving world. Dr. Ladki reaffirmed RHU’s mission as a non-profit institution dedicated to accessible, high-quality education and meaningful community impact.





Participants were divided into three groups and participated in interactive sessions led by RHU faculty members from the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Lara Abou Orm, Dr. Roaa Solh, and Dr. Ali Rammal, covering AI chatbots and prompt engineering, AI-powered assessments, professional reporting, document intelligence, and interactive tools. Beyond the technical sessions, the workshop encouraged meaningful dialogue and collaboration among educators and counselors, strengthening professional ties to support student success.
The workshop ended with a wrap-up session and distribution of certificates of participation to all attendees, reaffirming RHU’s commitment to AI literacy and community engagement.
