RHU’s Design Department in the College of Arts and Sciences hosted its first free high school workshop in Adobe Photoshop on January 23, 2026. This event reflects its dedication to community engagement, skill development, and introducing prospective students to the Graphic Design major.

The workshop enrolled 34 students from Carmel Saint Joseph, Hikmat Sabbagh High School, Anout High School, Iman High School, and Damour Official School. Students also participated in a creative competition to design a floating island poster, with the opportunity to win a 50% scholarship to the Graphic Design major at RHU.

Led by Design Department Chair and Associate Professor Ms. Serene Srouji and Instructor Ms. Rihab Zebian, the workshop covered the fundamentals of Photoshop, including image manipulation and collage techniques. The session was supported by RHU Graphic Design students, Ms. Amal Nakkouzi, Ms. Nagham Hassan, and Mr. Salim Masri, creating a collaborative learning environment that encouraged peer interaction and creativity.

Along with the hands-on learning experience, participants enjoyed a campus tour and an engaging educational day, with many showing interest in pursuing university studies at RHU across various majors.
This initiative reflects RHU’s ongoing dedication to experiential learning, community outreach, and students’ early exposure to creative and technical fields.
