The RHU Design Department in the College of Arts and Sciences started an initiative to raise awareness about the graphic design field among high school students. As part of this initiative, RHU Lecturer Ms. Noura Sammoura was invited to lecture about graphic design at Rafik Hariri High School in Saida for around 100 grade 3 students on January 24, 2024, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Ms. Sammoura captivated the students with a fascinating lecture about “Exploring the Evolution of Signs and Symbols: From Ancient Cave Drawings to Cutting-Edge Digital Design Tools.” She also highlighted how technology has transformed the creation of symbols and logos. The students were engaged and eager to share their basic knowledge of logos. Their curiosity sparked a desire to delve deeper into the world of graphic design.
The Design Department is keen to keep spreading awareness about the field of graphic design among younger generations to grow their interest in this field.
