Rafik Hariri University (RHU) President Dr. Said Ladki held a Fall 2026 Town Hall Meeting with students on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the RHU Theatre, focusing on career readiness, evolving workplace expectations, and the skills needed for professional success.
Dr. Ladki highlighted the importance of developing a broad and relevant skill set alongside academic qualifications. He emphasized the growing importance of AI and digital literacy, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and a strong work ethic in preparing students for today’s competitive job market.



“A college degree is just a door opener. It is a basket of skills that gets you placed,” indicated Dr. Ladki.
He also addressed the importance of personal values, ethical decision-making, adaptability, and workplace integration, encouraging students to embrace challenges and continuously develop themselves as they prepare for their future careers.


The Town Hall also provided an opportunity for direct dialogue with students. Dr. Ladki gave students the floor to share their needs, concerns, ideas, and suggestions for further enhancing the RHU experience and student life, encouraging their active contribution to the University's ongoing development.
The meeting concluded with Dr. Ladki encouraging students to make the most of their journey at RHU, acquire the skills needed for their future careers, and approach their professional development with a mindset of continuous growth.
