Friday, July 13, 2019 was the closing ceremony of RHU’s first-of-its-kind technology camp, the 2019 RHU TechnoCamp. Certificates were distributed to the 24 participants who joined the Camp from different schools and regions in Lebanon, and the parents were invited to share their sons’ and daughters’ achievements. It was a two-week Camp taught by experienced RHU faculty members, Dr. Bassam Moslem and Dr. Mohammad Al Abed. It succeeded in developing the interest and passion in robotics and web development in the minds of the young participants, while entertaining them with fun summer activities.

RHU Director of Admissions, Ms. Zeina Tannir, delivered a short word at the start of the closing ceremony, indicating that this Camp shall be an RHU annual event serving as an eye opening for the young generation in the areas of robotics and web development.
During the first week of the program, students learned all basics of programming and design concepts related to robotics and web development techniques. During the second week, more focus on problem-solving and team-oriented competitions such as obstacle avoidance, line-tracking robots and many others was given. In addition, participants developed their personal web pages and hosted them online. Students also got to enjoy different sports activities (soccer, basketball, table tennis…) and were finally introduced to the basics of photography.
