Lebanese families will not go without food this Ramadan, thanks to a high-spirited initiative by RHU Event Club targeting families overlooked by local NGOs and the government.
As a part of their 2nd Annual Ramadan Donation Campaign the club successfully surpassed its target and distributed rich food bags to 64 Lebanese families.
The datasheet of families in need was prepared by club members, who also joined efforts to deliver the food bags across all Lebanese regions. The preparation day was on April 15, 2022, on RHU campus.
“The Campaign allowed students with a passion and will to bless the poor and underprivileged in Lebanon during the holy month of giving. This event us to meet our ethical and moral responsibilities towards civic engagement and practice our gratitude for a more hopeful tomorrow for the poor and underprivileged,” said the Event Club President.
“We could not increase the number of food bags compared to last year, but the quality of the food supplies was much better. We always aim for the better and are hopeful that next year's initiative will be breaking news.”
