Meet RHU alumnus Mr. Abbas Daher, a management graduate from 2003. Mr. Daher has built a distinguished career in consulting and now works as a Partner at Ernst & Young in Qatar. As a Partner at EY, his focus is on regulatory transformation in the financial sector, collaborating closely with central banks and regulatory authorities to develop resilient, future-ready financial systems.

Mr. Daher’s journey has been one of continuous learning, growth, and purpose. After graduating, his curiosity about business and finance prompted him to pursue an MBA at the Lebanese American University (LAU), which he completed in 2006. That same year, he started his career at EY in Qatar.

Over the years, he has had the privilege of working with leading financial institutions across the MENA region, including Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Lebanon. His work in consulting has always centered on regulatory transformation, helping institutions improve compliance, build trust, and develop resilient, future-ready financial systems.

For Mr. Daher, success is measured not only by titles or milestones but by making a meaningful impact, whether transforming institutions, supporting economies, mentoring individuals, or being there for family and community.

What keeps him going is waking up each morning with a straightforward objective: to do one or two things that make a positive impact on the lives of people around him, whether through mentoring his teams, guiding clients through challenges, or simply being present for his family and friends.

“Being in a leadership position is both a privilege and a responsibility. For me, leadership is not about hierarchy. It’s about inspiring others to see their own potential, embedding values that outlast individual roles, and creating a culture of trust and empowerment. I see every interaction as an opportunity to shape the next generation of leaders who will carry forward the same principles of excellence, integrity, and purpose that have guided me throughout my journey,” says Mr. Daher, reflecting on his career journey.

Alongside his professional growth, Mr. Daher started a family, married in 2008, and became a father to two children, Mohamad Ali (16) and Alia (13), who continue to motivate him every day.
