In a recent interview on Sawt Al Mada, RHU associate professor of computer and information systems, Dr. Ghalia Nasreddine discussed the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, work, and daily life. She explained how AI learns from data and algorithms to make decisions, emphasizing its potential as a tool for both students and faculty.
Dr. Nasreddine warned against over-reliance on AI, urging students to maintain critical thinking skills. She noted that AI can collect all publicly available data, so privacy is a concern. If something should remain private, it should not be published online.
She also addressed how AI may replace routine jobs but create new opportunities. While Lebanese universities are beginning to adopt AI in education, she stressed that embracing this tech revolution takes time and continuous self-development.
