Classes of 2026 and 2027 develop a sense of home at the RHU New Student Orientation

Classes of 2026 and 2027 started their RHU academic journey on September 5, 2023, at the New Student Orientation. They huddled at the RHU MEA Conference Hall starting at 10:00 a.m. to meet staff members and explore the academic and non-academic programs, meet each other, and acclimatize to their new university life at the charming RHU campus in Mechref.

Orientation for new students will continue throughout the first two weeks of the Fall semester and will include several activities culminating with the annual Welcome party on September 21, says Assistant Director of Student Affairs Ms. Sahar Hallak.

RHU Interim President Dr. Hiam Lotfi welcomed the students on campus. She emphasized RHU’s commitment to deliver on its promise of providing quality higher education that springs from a deep-rooted concern for student success and career achievement. She also underscored the RHU family atmosphere that helps students realize their full potential.

In her address to new students, RHU Registrar Ms. Nidal Khalaf urged them to be responsible, read a lot, and respect deadlines. She insisted they read the new Student Catalog posted on the RHU website and follow up daily on the information they receive in their student emails. Time is of the essence and high achievement is the target, she underscored.

RHU Assistant Director Ms. Sahar Hallak invited them to enjoy the campus life by joining the RHU Clubs and Societies and participating in sports activities by the Athletic Department. She explained the services provided by the Student Affairs Office, including the shuttle, student housing, student representation, and health and wellness services

RHU IT Help Desk Department provides a range of technical support to all students, said IT Help Desk Support Manager Ms. Lina Basho. It helps them access and use their student web mails, SIS, Wi-Fi, and Moodle. It also assists them in RHU computer labs and in utilizing RHU printing services.

RHU Human Resources Assistant Ms. Nathalie Hourani explained that RHU insured all students against accidents on campus and advised them to seek immediate medical help whenever they need it.

Students were divided into groups to tour the RHU college and campus facilities, attend the dorm orientation, and develop a sense of home here at RHU.
