Excellence Endorsed: RHU programs reaccredited by ABET through 2031

Rafik Hariri University (RHU) proudly announces that its Computer Science (B.Sc.) program and all seven Engineering (B.E.) programs—Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering—have been reaccredited by ABET through September 30, 2031.

The reaccreditation was officially confirmed on August 29, 2025, in a letter from ABET President Sarah A. Rajala, addressed to RHU President Dr. Said Ladki, following a thorough evaluation conducted during the 2024–2025 academic year. In her letter, ABET President Rajala highlighted the rigorous evaluation process: "This process, which is conducted by approximately 2,200 ABET volunteers from the professional community, is designed to advance and assure the quality of professional education. We look forward to our continuing shared efforts toward this common goal."

ABET, the global leader in accrediting engineering and computing programs, ensures that higher education institutions meet the highest quality standards worldwide. This recognition reinforces RHU’s commitment to academic excellence and the preparation of graduates who are ready to lead in their professions.

RHU President Dr. Said Ladki remarked: "This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students and reaffirms RHU’s standing as a university committed to excellence in education, innovation, and societal impact."
