Meet Dr. Tarek El Masri, a graduate of RHU's class of 2002 in accounting and finance, who is making a significant impact as an assistant professor of accounting at the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College of Business & Entrepreneurship (MBSC).
Dr. El Masri holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma. He has also taught at both Concordia University and the Lebanese American University.
His research focuses on corporate governance in family businesses and has earned him prestigious awards, including the National Bank Initiative in Entrepreneurship and Family Business Award and the Bell Research Centre Scholarship Award. His work has been published in leading academic journals and presented at international conferences. He recently co-authored a book titled Auditing Reimagined: Navigating Stakeholder Expectations, which will be released soon by Emerald.
Additionally, Dr. El Masri serves as a jury member for the Family Business Awards by the Family Business Council – Gulf. His commitment to education and leadership continues to shape the future of business.
