RHU faculty, staff and students gathered today at 11:00 a.m. near the cafeteria in a symbolic united stand against violence.
In his short word, RHU assistant professor, Dr. Housam Salami, called the violent attacks on the mosques in New Zealand as tragic. “The message that we need to project by standing here,” he said, “is the need to reject any form of violence against anyone in the world, for what connects us first and foremost is our humanity.”

He asked the students to lead with love and chose the language of acceptance regardless the differences in color, religion, politics, or sect. He also extended RHU’s compassion with and condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
