RHU Student Affairs Office organized a vibrant black-and-white-themed welcome party on October 6 to welcome students and share their excitement to reconnect after more than a year of the COVID pandemic and online learning.
Combining students' love for music and comedy shows, the lively Ranin Band paraded the campus playing vibrant music on their musical instruments and cheering the crowds of students as they passed. Mimicked in costumes, the invisible men, jokers, and Charlie Chaplin, lifted the spirits of the attendees with their comedy. A lady standing on stilts in the center of the green area and dressed in a long silver gown played the violin. The welcome party also featured food stations that served lemonade, crepe, saj, and pasta.
Mr. Hani Boubou and RHU alumnus Mohamad Teryaki offered Dj mixes of contemporary Arabic and English music that everybody enjoyed. Hand in hand, students danced the Dabke stumping their feet to the rhythm of the lovely Lebanese cultural songs.
The party extended until 5 in the afternoon when the students received the tragic news of the passing away of Professor Leila Ayoub and decided to end the celebration.
