The biomedical engineering of the IEEE RHU Student Branch students successfully participated in a two-day workshop titled “A Visit to Benta Pharma Industries,” held on February 27 and May 13, in collaboration with Benta Pharma Industries. This enriching experience provided students with direct exposure to real-world industrial and biomedical engineering applications, strengthening their technical knowledge and enhancing their practical and problem-solving skills in the medical technology field.

The workshop was designed to provide third-year biomedical engineering students with hands-on experience and practical insight into minimally invasive medical technologies, with a particular focus on laparoscopic systems. The sessions were led by Eng. Zaher Mohammad and Eng. Izack Dawalibi, who guided students through both the theoretical foundations and practical troubleshooting techniques for laparoscopic equipment.

On the first day, participants attended theoretical sessions followed by hands-on training with laparoscopic machines. The second day included a review of key concepts, additional practical exercises, an interactive quiz, and a guided tour of the factory facilities. The workshop concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to all students.
